he picked up as an intelligence operative. With the help of his old friend, the drinking, womanizing Sam Axe, and his gun-running, trigger-happy ex-girlfriend Fiona, he makes people's problems go away. But when he's done, Michael's biggest problem becomes finding out who burned him and trying to get back into the game.
Review Of Burn Notice Season 5 Episode 6 Enemy of My Enemy: The CIA has taken over the investigation of Max's murder and has assigned a tough lady named Agent Pearce to the case. She seems suspicious of Michael, he being a burned spy and all, but he is able to convince her that he is as eager to get to the real killer as she is. This is good, as Michael knows whoever did it wanted to frame him.
Meanwhile a former Army sniper named Ethan seeks Michael's help dealing with a man he believes has put his sister in a coma. Ethan would just as soon put a bullet in him, but Michael insists that he needs to go to jail instead. A little work by Fi and Sam uncovers the fact that the boyfriend works for a criminal named Ramsey, who runs a Medicare scam operation. He skimmed from Ramsey to buy something nice for the sister, so Ramsey beat the woman into a coma to teach him a lesson.
Michael and his friends start a classic "Burn Notice" operation to make Ramsey think he is being approached by a bigger criminal enterprise for a merger. The idea is to get him to cough up his records, which would put him in Club Fed for a long stretch. Ethan has a great deal of trouble playing buddy with the man who beat his sister. At one point he yields to the temptation to deal with Ramsey the old-fashioned way.
