The first episode of the season is in many ways an introduction, or along transition. So while Nancy had a lesbian love affair with her cell-mate, Doug and Andy are doing pretty well on the cannabis country, selling drugs legally and enjoying life in general. Silas is doing commercials and making his way in life, but it’s Shane who wants to see Nancy immediately after he hears she’s out of prison. He buys three flight tickets, leaving Silas behind. And although Silas doesn’t agree that he hates his mom, he doesn’t argue about staying in the land of the blonds.
That’s only temporary, of course. With the way Silas looked in the make-up room we will see him in NYC soon enough. Now that we’re out of danger (guess who’s been found dead?), Nancy is almost free again.
Jennifer Jason Leigh is pretty awesome as Nancy’s sister (she has Nancy’s son, and it’s not going to be easy), and I understand she’ll be joining the Weeds cast for a few episodes during this 13-episodes-long season.
